Story of GAL
The Group of Local Action (GAL) of the Alta Marca Trevigiana formed in society on the 19th February 2008 currently sees represented in their social 49 public and private, among which the Trevigian district, the Camera di Commercio di Treviso, and 25 comuni of Alta Marca Trevigiana and a vaste representativity of the production world with the presence of nearly all primar sector category associations of some agroalimentar excellences typical of the land and volunteering.
The GAL workers are undoubtedly the most representative public and private subjects regarding rural development problematics of the area of GAL’s competence.
GAL, other than the actuation of their own Local Development Program (PSL), proposes to be an actual Local Development Agency to the mean of supporting the public and private development bodies of the land in the knowledge and realization of development opportunities. This is to put into action the art. 4 of the GAL Statute, as modified by the extraordinary assembly on the 15.06.2023 to reshape it to the new references to the Leader program 2023-2027, which states objects and means of GAL, as following reported:
“La Società senza fini di lucro ha lo scopo di promuovere l’avvio di nuove iniziative economiche e di favorire la valorizzazione delle risorse umane, materiali e immateriali del territorio, stimolando la collaborazione tra gli enti locali, l’imprenditoria privata e gli altri attori di sviluppo pubblico e privati. La Società potrà raggiungere tale scopo, sia in stretta correlazione con le esigenze e le necessità dei propri soci che con quelle dei terzi in genere.”
The GAL Alta Marca Trevigiana’s mission
GAL Alta Marca proposes to value the land by developing the fundamental characteristics of the local identity. Characteristics whose degrade can compromise the development of heritage resources sustainabilty and therefore the loss of the heritage itself.
GAL’s goals therefore are to rebuild landscape forms and make projects for the future beginning with the local animation and therefore interesting the local population to realize projects aimed at bringing back citizens to their traditional ways of living, starting with local resources, strenghtening of ecological behaviors and mutual cooperation.
In particular GAL proposes to value and develop an homogeneus and easily identificable land as an element of attraction for human resources and social and economical activities. This is possible thaks to the Local Development Program (PSL) A.M.A Armonie of community, landscape and food.
PSL represents the programmation device for the elaboration and successively actuation of a throughout strategy of land development of multi-year duration, based on the interaction among operators and projects belonging to several sections of the local economy, on innovative approachs and including cooperation projects with other GALs and other Italian and European places. The setting phase of PSL is characterized by a vaste informative and comparative action with all the interested components present on the land and stakeholders.
The strategy
The new Local Development Strategy will receive a dote of 3.701.075,00 euros and will see the realization of activities approved with A.M.A Alta Marca Armonie of community, landscape and food.

On June 15th 2023 with the delibery of the Extraordinary Social Assembly the Statute modified the articles 1 and 4 to receive the references to community regulations of Leader program 2023-2027 and the article 3 to prorogate the duration of the society to 2035.
